Wendy Crispell, CSW, WSET Advanced Certification









Wendy is a NY wine professional with a background rich in all things culinary. Her cocktail creations have won first place in 4 national competitions including the Pernod Challenge and Best of Bols Spirits Recipe. Her winning recipes have been featured in Top Shelf Magazine and Mr. Boston's Cocktail guide. She demonstrated her knowledge of the culinary arts on The Food Network with an appearance on David Rosengarden's Taste Test  and is a regular contributor to a wine column in the Hudson Valley.

As an accomplished chef she holds the Master Certificate in Artisanal Cheese and has studied at The New School, and The French Culinary Institute.

Her love of wine led her to leave the heat of the kitchen behind after 10 years behind the stove at her own bistro. After completing Kevin Zraly's Windows on the World Wine School she left to explore the wine regions of Europe where she studied at both the German Wine Academy and Ecole D' Vin in Bordeaux. She holds both the Intermediate and Advanced Certifications from the prestigious Wine and Spirit Educational Trust  with honors as well as being a Certified Specialist of Wine. Currently she is a diploma candidate with the WSET and plans on entering the Master of Wine curriculum on completion of her WSET and Society of Wine Educators programs.

IN 2008 she was a featured presenter at the HVFWF  sponsored by Gourmet Magazine and Wine Racks.com., and  designed a wine program for the Bounty of the Hudson NY Culinary Festival receiving rave reviews for her entertaining, humorous, style.
